Description

Queen Jess asked for a modern take on the Bear Claw requesting jewel tone fabrics. I didn't have enough of the purple to make the pads or claws or I would have, being a big fan of purple, but I managed to sneek in a pop of it. I have never made this block before but I can see why it's a classic. Just by changing up the fabric it can become something so different. Someday I want to make a red and white quilt and I can so see this being the block! Thanks Jess for turning me on to this!

Terryt1955 this is a beautiful block. Looks complicated. Love your fabrics!

Terryt1955

Conniharns Thanks and it's not complicated, just good ole HST's around a larger square with some sashing in between. I'll go find the tutorial and link it up here.

Jess

Thanks Everyone! ( Carolmarie , Jess , Capetowngirl , Quilt455 , True ). Isn't it cool to be able to sample all these different blocks and find ones that you are totally in love with?
