Description

After one of my co-workers saw the star quilt I did for DD he asked if I would make one for his DD. His only request was pink and it have her nickname Lili on it. I wanted to do something different but liked the ease of the giant star. I used the Adorn pattern from Camille Roskelley's book Simply Retro and changed the size of the triangles to 9.5" each. I only used half of a scrap pack I had and some yardage so it was quick, easy, and low budget.

This really is so pretty! I just might have to make some string triangles next! It really is beautiful.

Super easy also just sew different size strips together and then cut them into triangles. depending on how you put them together you get the cute little hexie design in the middle. I had this cut pieced and sewn in a weekend.

Skynme Awesome! Thanks for the tip :) I haven't sewn too many string style blocks. I love it when designs I hadn't planned on show up within my blocks/quilts.
