Horses - Cross Stitch by corginole
Embroidery & Embellishments
I learned Danish Counted Cross Stitch at the age of 9, and have consistently had one or more pieces in progress throughout my life. These are a few of my completed pieces that are hanging in our home - in the Mom Cave.
The hunt scene I started while traveling through Europe in 1987 and finished a few years later. It is a pattern by Eva Rosenstad. I don't remember when the two jumpers were done the one over the red rails is also an Eva Rosenstad pattern. The hunter through the trees came from a pattern book I found in the 80s. I have several large pieces that I have not yet frames that are stored (hopefully safely) and several smaller horse pieces.
I grew up hanging around stables and have a great love of riding that I rarely get to indulge any more.
