Description

This mini quilt is my ticket into our guild quilt show this November! Donate a quilt for the small quilt auction and get free admission into the quilt show!!!

I wanted to try out this tutorial. It uses the "Companion Angle" ruler by Darlene Zimmerman. I've had this ruler for a long time and only used it twice. Darlene spoke at our quilt guild recently and she is interesting and just a great speaker and quilter. Besides, who doesn't love a good chevron these days!!!

The batting is "Soft & Bright" by the Warm Company--it was a sample and was just the right dimensions. Nice having the white batting for a white background quilt. The backing was a FQ that DD won at a quilt shop. We didn't like it at the time she won it, but it goes perfect with this quilt and we have learned to love it!  The binding is turquoise blue bamboo.

Ummm, yes, the photo is upside-down! I now noticed the hanging cord is on the bottom. It pretty much looks the same either way!

What a striking chevron mini. Keeping it to just the blue and white really makes an impact. And thanks for introducing the ruler. There are so many out there it's hard to keep up!

I did not realize this was a mini at first glance. This is striking. Such tiny pieces! Love the colors.

Terryt1955 Thanks, Terryt1955! I haven't used that ruler much, so when I was that tutorial called for it, thought I'd be a good chance to use it.

Charwirfs Thank you, Char! They are tiny pieces. It only took 6 strips of 1 1/2" wide fabrics in each color.
