Description

It was flag day and a day after deciding with the Tucson Modern Quilt Guild that we were going to do a mug rug swap with the guild in Bakersfield. I wanted to see if there was a paper pieced pattern online and could not find one. So I have begun the process of making my own. :)

I am working on editing changes and fixing the paper-pieced pattern currently. It is printed, I just need to test it again.

It is tested and the top is complete! Now to sandwich, quilt and bind! But need to figure out what fabric to use for that first! :)

*8-7-2013 It is complete. I stitched on the red rays close to the seams above the star, stitched about 1/8" inside the star and echoed the bottom of the star in the blue. I love it!

I want to write it up as a pattern and sell.... thoughts?

This is amazing! I have never been able to successfully use a paper pieced pattern, much less create one! If I saw this in a store, I would buy it! I happen to love Tucson, so the flag really appeals to me.

Janquilter Thank You! I probably wouldn't be able to get the pattern in a store, but I am trying to get my scanner working so I can create a PDF. :) It definitely took some trial and errors to get it right! I am glad that you like it! I love Tucson too and am so glad to live here! :)

Speattle

It is beautiful! I have lots of family and friends in Arizona who would love these!
