Description

Made with a charm pack of Happy Go Lucky by Bonnie and Camille for Moda, Bella Solid fabric in Robin's Egg and Free Spirit Solid in Winter White. The binding is from Silent Cinema by Jenean Morrision and backing is from Lizzy House's Hello Pilgrim line. This quilt kind of evolved from an idea to make all stars. The tiny pinwheels are made of the scraps from the flying geese units in the stars. In addition to quilting along the seam lines with Aurifil in 50 wt, I added some hand quilting with various colours in 12 wt threads.  Finished dimensions are 31" by 36".

Love the idea of putting the pinwheels in the same quilt as the flying geese blockks--I make them from the cutaway, but have so far put them into different projects. The hand stitching is a nice addition.

Happy-Go-Lucky indeed. That is a perfect name for this sweet baby quilt. I love the hand-quilting, it adds such a warm charm to the great design!
