Hopscotch King Quilt by stampandsewforfun
My King Size Quilt is finally done. I finished hand sewing the binding last night and we got to sleep with it for the first time. I bought this material back in January, pieced it over Spring Break in March, had the long arm gal quilt it in April, and finally got around to doing the binding and finishing it. I also completed the pillows and shams this week. They were a lot easier than I expected. All my pillow forms came form IKEA, and had been in my attic just waiting to be used.I had never made a Bolster pillow before, I found this FREE pattern from Connecting Threads and it was very simple. To make the pillow shams, pillow cases, and extra pillows I just Googled away and found some patterns for free to use. I wanted everything simple, no ruffles or anything fru fru. The fabric is from Northcott and is a combination of 2 collections: Kensington and Cosmopolitan. I had to throw a Moda Black Grunge in for a solid because the shop was out of the solid black that went with the collection. The pattern is Hopscotch by Olive Tree and is sort of a stack and whack pattern.
