Description

I made this quilt as a wedding gift, I had always wanted to try out the pattern and although it isn't difficult at all it is time consuming as there's lots of repetitive strip piecing and a huge amount of trimming. This  is the largest quilt I've made and measures in at 90 inches square, the machine quilting was actually painful as I throw the mass of material over my shoulder and feed it in, I had to take a break every 40 minutes. I do like how it has turned out, such a simple yet effective pattern, but am glad it's finished, next time I'll make a smaller one. The plain white squares were hand quilted with ivory Aurifil 50 wt thread in a double feather circle. The materials used were Kona solids white, Bella solids country red, Riley Blake and Michael Miller gingham and polka dot.

Rebecca Quilt455 Thank you for your kind comments. The bride's father thinks she will love the quilt. I used retro 50's fabrics for a pieced back, polka dots, strawberries, gingham and cupcakes.
