Description

This is from a Snap Sack Kit (designed by Joan Ford from Hummingbird Highway) although I changed some of the fabrics up. As soon as I saw it I thought of a friend of mine and had to make it for her. It was a fun, quick project. I didn't have enough of the wine fabric for the back (I just had a fat quarter) so I did some piecing with scraps from the front plus a few other scraps I had that matched.

The photos aren't very good so it looks like it's lopsided but it really isn't (I promise). I probably should have quilted a bit more (the border looks a little plain) but I'm not going to go back and do any more.

Aug 17, 2015 - no changes made, I'm just updating this to mark it as "complete"

back of the quilt. It's really not crooked - that's just my poor photography skills

True

What a cute little quilt!

HawkFan

Thanks Conniharns . I saw the green martini wine fabrics in a quilt shop and knew I had to include them in this project.

Thanks True . It doesn't match her decor at all but I just had to make it for her.

That is so much fun! I so enjoy a quilt that makes me smile when I look at it- and this one certainly does.

Sbbquilter - that's exactly how I felt when I saw the pattern! Makes it fun to work on too.

I love the martini glasses and how you changed it up! I have this kit but haven't done it yet. Joan Ford is actually from my hometown and she learned to quilt at my LQS.

cally68 - thank you. My friend got a big kick out of it. I just happened to find the martini glass fabric at a shop I stopped in to. Joan must be very creative - this is a cute pattern.
