Description

These are the materials needed to create a cushion for the bench in my new kitchen. Wish me luck...never tried anything like this before. I am going to go get the cording foot for my Bernina...watching a video of how to use it makes me think it will help a lot.

September 16, 2016: I finally finished the cushion. I have learned a lot about upholsetery while making this. The most important thing I learned is that I will never do it again! :)

I finished the pillows a few weeks ago but forgot to post them.

Love the fabric...and will love hearing of your journey. I have a chair I love in my kitchen that I have had for years and so needs to have its old cushions recovered but I have never had the guts...so I am impressed!

Wow this is gorgeous I am so impressed! Sounds like it was quite the project:-)

Would you please come to my house next and help me? Lovely.

Nice job! It looks so cozy. I imagine myself sitting there with a cup of coffee looking over mounds of quilt patterns and books. Wish I had the space, I'd copy your idea.

Nicely done. What a great space that is. Love how all the colors work together.

True There is no way I will upholster again! It was such a job! The pieces are so unwieldly and getting it to fit right was hard. However, I will gladly visit you and WATCH you upholster! :)

Janquilter LOL I am thinking more just cushion covers so might not be as hard;-)??!! Maybe??!

If you mean pillow covers...piece of cake...I dashed off 2 in about an hour or so the other day. It is the cording and the giant zipper of upholstery that gets to me...plus the foam piece to wrangle.
