Description

Late last year, I did a jelly roll race quilt.  I found a fun bright jelly roll and liked the resulting top but had no idea what to do with it and it went into the UFO pile.  Then in the last few months a nursing home approached our quilt guild asking for small quilts for all 69 of their residents.  Since the quilts they wanted were 36" X 48" I could cut up the jelly roll race quilt and get 2 quilts out of it by adding a border to two sides of each quilt.  I figured these would be happy quilts for the nursing home residents who received them.  I also took the opportunity to practice my pebble quilting and sewing a binding on by machine.  I am getting better at both skills but have a way to go to get good at them.

The quilting is as much fun as the color combination. These turned out well, especially since they were taken from the UFO pile. These will bring a smile to someone's faces.
