Description

I was on a roll with novelty prints this summer and finally used my Nancy Drew fabric to make this quilt pattern I found on Moda Bake Shop (see the link)!

The top was so fast and easy to make that I had it almost 100% done in one UFO saturday with my quilt group! The instructions are very easy to follow on this one too. :)

I attempted to quilt it free motion on my own machine, and I found it pretty challenging. There was a lot of cursin' and wine drinkin' but overall... I don't hate what I did, lol. This quilt has no official home but maybe it'd be used for future babies?

Really fun- I love how you used the prints and you are off to a great start with the FMQ-ing- - I'm in my third year of FMQ-ing and I still feel like a newbie- just takes lot's of doing it;)))).

Just love this. How cute is the yellow fabric. I think you did great with your quilting.

Mymble Thanks! I found that it really hurt after a while too, does that only get worse? lol. My wrists were killing me. :)

Good question- sometimes they do and sometimes not- I think we me at least it can be tension, trying to keep control of the fabric and not let it run away from me etc...maybe a little less when it's a larger, looser pattern like wavy lines and definitely more when its tight little jigsaw puzzle pieces and whatnot- and maybe that will decrease with time. I am fairly slow though too- see people on IG FMQ-ing a whole quilt in a few hours and think how in the world????
