Cousin Grayson's Car Seat Quilt by Kathie
Sophie's carseat quilt
One last project before I leave for Colorado . . . a car seat quilt to match my grandson Finn's for his new baby cousin.
My daughter-in-law's sister and her family live in Colorado (thus the latest move from Austin). The two families have four boys between them . . . the two three year olds are two months apart and the newborns are two months apart. What a fun trip this is going to be. Though I'm sure Colorado is beautiful, these two young professional families left So California due to the high cost of living. Both families have strong roots here in California so it makes me a bit sad to see them leave.
Onto the quilt . . . as with Finn's "^baby-finn-s-car-seat-quilt" I used Charm Squares from Riley Blake's Mod Tod designed by Sheri Berri. I added some Minkie bright solids for texture and the backing is a white fleece for the cold winters. I used a blue border and quilted this one a little differently. There are ties attached so that it can be tied to the carseat and not kicked off.
Back (it's actually white)
