Description

These are pillows I made for my daughter-in-law's birthday. They are constructed with Amy Butler's Lark collection. I used less than one jelly roll (pleated takes 11 strips) for both pillows and two 12" x 16.5" panels for the back.

I made one a pleated pillow from a pattern by Jera at QuiltingintheRain.com. The second pillow I made up by taking the 2 1/2 in. strips and I quilted as I sewed them together on batting and a backing fabric. I then cut along the diagonals, realigned the direction of the triangles and then sewed them back together. I made a covered button by fussy cutting a flower on one of the fabrics and then pulled it through to try and give the pillow a tufted look.

I'm hoping she likes them!
