Biased About Bee Biased by Quilterinmotion
The Bee Biased Hive has been so much fun. We're drawing closer to the end, which means my month as Queen is coming up next month. I thought it was time to put my collection of blocks I've made for the other queens together in one place.
It's been a blast and I really AM biased about Bee Biased!
January - Laweigel asked for the Great Granny block. It was my first time making this block. Photo not available.
February - PosyP asked for a Butterfly block. This applique was fun to make. Photo not available.
March - Chrissybugs asked for the Modern Convergence block. This was my first "modern" block and I enjoyed it.
April - True asked for a Star block and I knew immediately I would make her one of my favs, the "Stars All Around" block which actually is one big star made up of five stars.
May - Mymble gave us all the challenge of picking a town in a country on the "Grand Tour". I picked Rome and did a Travel Poster block using fusible applique. I had a great time creating this block.
June - Chandra asked for a modern block called "Filmstrip". I had never made this block but really loved it and the fussy-cuts it required.
July - Leonie wanted four smaller Nine-Patch blocks using orange, red, and purple. This was a fun block to make too. Unfortunately I realized one had reversed and re-sent her one block.
August - Sewqueen asked for a Wild Geese block, with colors in gradients. I enjoyed doing the greens from dark to light.
September - Kathie asked for the Spinning Pumpkin Block in Fall colors with our choice of center block. I decided to change it up slightly by creating a paper-piece pattern for the stem section. I also used a Carol Doak 4" paper-pieced block for the center in a Maple Leaf design, as I'm from the part of the country that has lovely maple trees that change from green leaves to a multitude of colors.
October- Rebecca asked for a 9-patch in red/white and blue/white, two of each I love red, white and blue so I had plenty of reds/blues and white to make the four blocks.
November-Jody asked for a Frugal Patch block which featured pale lavender or pale blue. It has a scrappy cross in the center and was striking when completed.
December- I've asked for a Spinning Flower block which I'm calling "Flower in Motion" in blues and yellows.
