Description

This pillow is part of the Simply Retro Sew Along and uses the Framed Pattern on page 83 of the book by Camille Roskelley.  I used leftovers from my Sweet Life quilt so when that is done, I will have a coordinating pillow (I am also making a second pillow to coordinate which uses the leftover triangles from the Sweet Life quilt).

This is a super easy pattern.

I pieced together a back with a hidden zipper (yes, I am totally addicted to those!) and therefore the pillow is reversible.

I used straight line quilting to accent the design on the front.

It measures 18" X 18" finished.

Here is the quilt it will coordinate with:

Love PB&J and this pillow is just too cute!

Caribousmom

Skynme thank you! It is a fun collection. I wasn't sure I was going to love it, but I do!

cally68

Love it! I am totally addicted to pillows and I almost always co-ordinate a pillow to go with every quilt I make.

Caribousmom

cally68 I just discovered the joy of making pillows this year - and I'm addicted! LOL. I am beginning to think the same way - every quilt needs a pillow (or two or three...)!!!

Caribousmom

Carolmarie thanks! I used a very light weight cotton batting between the top and a piece of neutral cotton.

Terryt1955

I want this in the guest room for the next time I visit!!! You are now officially the Pillow Lady!

Caribousmom

Terryt1955 lol...done!!!

Quilt455

Dear Pillow Lady, I love this pillow. I am so surprised how much I do since I wasn't that fond of the fabric when I saw it in the bundle. The colors are great and I just love the pattern you did. It is prettier in person.

cally68

Quilt455 I was thinking the same thing. I didn't really care for the fabric the first time I saw it. This is proof it's all in what you do with it. I absolutely love this pillow caribousmom!

Mymble

Beautiful Wendy and I love the way you quilted it!

Caribousmom

cally68 and Quilt455 - I was lucky enough to win a FQ stack of this fabric through a give away at Fat Quarter Shop...and I felt the same way when it arrived. I wasn't sure I loved it...but it looks so different when you start creating pillows and quilts! LOL. I think it may also be the use of white as a background which make the colors pop and make them richer somehow. Anyway...thank you to both of you for the nice comments!

Mymble Thanks! I love doing echo quilting (it is fun and fast)!!!

Conniharns

Well...hello pillow freak!!! This is such a cute pillow! Now we have pillows to "go with" each quilt....I am pooped already.

Caribousmom

Conniharns lol...I am insanely obsessed with these! But they are so addictive and satisfying to make. At some point I will have to give them away. Or not!
