Biscornu Pincushions by Pompom
I was inspired to make these cuties as I am running a stall at my favourite charity's Christmas Fair and so have embarked on lots of small quilting and sewing projects. The pattern is called Biscornu which comes from the French for irregular and is easy to put together once you get your head round the start where the squares are mismatched. As well as the pincushions I'm making quilted Christmas stockings, quilted coasters, quilted table runners, quilted and embroidered bookmarks etc so I've started early. The pincushions shown are made with squares measuring between 4 and 5 inches, I'll mkae a few small ones with 3 inch squares. Some of the fabrics used are Riley Blake's Sweetest Thing, Moda's Russian Tradition, Marcus Fabrics' Green Tartan.
