I think you are right to be concerned but in part due to how far apart you quilting is... I have seen a lot of quilts (and plan on trying one in next few I do) where they would have just added more lines in the same direction...so end up with more lines that are closer together. And many say it seems to be enough to hold batting. So you could try just adding more in between ones you already have done.

Quilbee

Ok cool, that could be a good solution! : )

True

Quilbee It would just look more like a downpour versus a gentle rain;-)

Quilbee

LOL

HawkFan

the idea of just going in one direction does give it more of a feel or rain (gentle or downpour) so, as usual, True has a great suggestion

Quilbee

The downpour is looking good, unfortunately I ran out of thread with only a bit more quilting left to do .. sigh!

True

Quilbee Oh God I hate when that happens!

Quilbee

Found some more thread.. So another question, all the puckering you can see is probably from me rushing too much when quilting, is there any decent way to prevent this? I'm so impatient at the quilting stage.

True

Typically it is all about basting but I know I still struggle with some quilt getting it all done with no issues. Have you washed it yet? My guess is no and once you do it will all get crinkly and be fine! Nice job:-)

Ranchmom

I really like this, Nice Job.

Quilbee

Thanks Ranchmom and True. Yes, I still need to wash it, hopefully that will help : )
