Love what you did with Jan's block. I just saw what Marsha did to my block. She stayed with the color theme too. I have been soooooooo nervous about working on your block, but I am half way done. You and Marsha did such a good job at keeping up with the Improvi theme that I have enough inspiration and courage to carry on. I will get it done, post a pic, and mail it off to Marsha within the week. This is scary, but a lot of fun!
What fun fabrics you used on Jane's center. I love your title for the blocks!! Very nice addition
Oh! BTW-It's Jane! I hate the name Jan. No offense to the Jan's out there. :)
Updated and my apologies janepez+. I meant no ill will.
Love the wonky churn dash!
Great additions, ArloDeanQuilts! Great subject to work with and I love your wonky churn dash. Can't wait to see what gets added for you!
I guess the Jan name is my goof. Sorry Jane, I know better. So, I will just blame it on my spellchecker. Lol.
ArloDeanQuilts I will be on the look out for it. I am still sewing your wonky churn dash. Marsha is sweet about giving me a little more time. We have spent most of the month completing our move from Olympia, WA to Southern Oregon. Just got back to my sewing room today. But as soon as it is completed, I will post a picture for you.
It's done and ready to mail to Quilterinmotion (Marsha). I will post a pic soon when I have better light. I enjoyed working on it. I just got home yesterday and have not picked up my mail at the PO yet, but as soon as I have Jane's hot cross buns in my hands I will let you know. Been thinking about what I will add before Nov. 15 and am stumped.
Charwirfs sounds great can not wait to see it. I hope your move has gone well, I do not like moving.
ArloDeanQuilts almost done with the move. We moved this summer and my daughter and two kids are moving now. They arrive next Friday so I have some time to enjoy sewing. Posting pics of your charming block now....hope you are not disappointed...
Hello again, posted the picture of what I accomplished on your Wonky Churn Dash. I also picked up the mail and Jane's cutie cupcake with your additions has safely arrived. I see she wants to give it as a charity block so I may back off on the improvi look and add more traditional stuff. Your addition is really nice.
Very nice ArloDeanQuilts. All is in keeping with rainbows. I love all the color added. This comes to me next. I may not stay with the "yellow brick road" theme. Since it is leaving Kansas and headed back to Oregon, I may take it to the dark side of the Wizzard of Oz. Anyone have a pattern for flying monkeys?
I just love the HSTs around this block. It's so perfect! Flying monkeys? Dark side??? Oh, my! This should be interesting by the time I get it!
Belinda - Love the rainbow colors and Charwirfs - I love your description of it as yellow brick road!
Looking forward to working on it, ArloDeanQuilts. I will let you know when I receive it. I see you got the picture posted. Looks great!
I received Claire's starter block ArloDeanQuilts . I have been brainstorming all afternoon, but this one is a tough problem. I may send it back to you.
Oh dear, i hope you are joking, it looks like a fun one to add to!
Those triangles and the colors you used are perfect accents to the center. Very nice!
Yes, ArloDeanQuilts, nicely done. I will look forward to getting this in my mail box. I have a plan already as to what to add, which may be a first for me in my Improvi/ Robin experience. Heck....do ya think I might be getting the hang of this?!!
Your addition to Chandra's is a perfect balancing act, bringing back the orange and gold, echoing the starting geese column without duplicating it, and just a touch of aqua! I also like your bright HSTs on mine. I think I have said so somewhere, but missed it here. I've got your block now--plans forming.
ArloDeanQuilts Thank you for your work on my quilt, the wonky triangles look great and I love how you wound up matching that orange-yellow print too!
Just finished Chandra's WIP and will post pics before sending it on to Marsha. I really enjoyed working on this one. The color and design is so pleasing, but I have to say, all the starter pieces look very Improvi to me. I am always amazed when I get the new ones in the mail. They look soooooo much better than the pics.
Oh my! This is screaming fabulous! I have been waiting to see what you did to this. I get to add the final round before it goes home to Marsha. Looking forward to seeing this in person.
Love the star and text fabric!!
Love your additions to Marsha's quilt- what a fabulous picture everyone has created!
OMG! I love it! Thank you so much for your great additions. The return of some text fabric pulls that together and the multi-color star in the color--super! So loving this project! Well done, ArloDeanQuilts
I think my favorite is Chandra's! It's so cohesive even though it's been worked on by many different sewers. The colors and style of the additions are so complimentary. I can't wait to see how it comes out in the end.
Thank you everyone, these last two rounds were sent to me both at once, which was a little daunting. I am glad to have been a part of this Improvi Robin, it has been a lot of fun!
Once again, I love your additions.
I think everyone has done such a fabulous job with each 'round'. This was all new to me when I started and I was not sure I could really live up to the "improv" but you've all convinced it I did and ArloDeanQuilts , you certainly did as well. Everyone has been very creative and that's what this was all about. Thank you all; sorry we're ending, but I'll see you all in other swaps I'm sure.
This is gorgeous!
Love your additions to quilterinmotion's center- so great!
I was surprised to see my Round Robin piece show up on the Projects page. Unfortunately, I have not done anything to finish it off. It's in with my Winter projects to take to Florida! I love everyone's additions.
I do not usually like inprov things but I really like this one.
