How fun! Love the houses.
The houses are a nice touch. Happy houses. I love that you used lots of color in Clair's block. Just finished Belinda's Wonky Churn Dash and will post a picture tomorrow. I had so much fun with it, I did not want to stop, but I decided to leave the fun for the next in line, that will be Marsha.
The addition of the houses to the center makes me think of a neighborhood with the lines radiating out being roads. I love how it conjures a map in my head
I love your addition to my addition!
I like the huge pieced zig zag complimenting the chevron fabric and extending the "spotlight." I like the triangles pointing back down so we don't keep looking off the piece.
Great shapes going on here, providing movement. I see that light beam being reflected and taking off in all sorts of directions. This started with strong composition and keeps it up. The combination of warm colors and strong shapes is pleasing.
Quilterinmotion I decided your square needed a little rest so I added some solids and a few birds for fun.
Charwirfs I just realized how bad the color is in my picture. Don't worry it all matches in person. ;)
janepez , I wondered who would be the one to break up the white! I love birds and think those work very well. They are just great. I'm especially happy that you added the one on the diamond as it makes the others feel like they belong to the block as a whole. Not sure I'm saying that right, but it works for me so thanks!
janepez Wow! The circles really look great and the color choice pops the blues. Very nice addition. I won't worry about the color. All the rounds look better in person. Anyway that is what I notice each time a WIP arrives.
janepez I like the birds on Quilterinmotion WIP. You left a lot of white which is visually pleasing. I did not even see the bird in the triangle at first. The birds are a clever addition. It changes the focus away from strong shapes and adds a bit of whimsy.
janepez I love this addition. The fish helps fix the "too bigness" of the two big diamonds. The birds and fish give the diamond strips a sense of horizon. Very nice!
I just now found the photo of the final round. I agree with Claire. You brought it to a nice closure. Love it!
