Description

Judy Niemeyer's patterns are becoming very popular here in Northwest Ohio.  I've never really done any paper piecing, so thought I'd try a  "basic" Judy quilt.  My local shop "Sonflower Quilts" had a class on Grandmother's Wedding Ring.   We could do the bed runner, which had 16 rings, or a small throw, which had 20 rings.  I went for the throw.  It's a  classic pattern and one I always wanted to try, particularly with a "new" technique.  It's very interesting - now I just need time to work on it.

I've always been intimidated by Judy Niemeyer's patterns because they look so complicated. Since a Wedding ring is on my "bucket list" and yours looks so inviting, I just may give it a try. I can't wait to see more as you progress along. I too, love civil war fabrics.

Cannot wait to see this become a quilt and very pretty fabrics! Will be interested to hear how difficult it is to make...good luck.
