June 2009: Here's a block of the month from Sonflower Quilts in Sylvania Ohio. This was from 2009-2010. This was my very first block of the month that I ever did - from start to finish. They way they designed the setting is so pretty - the amish blocks "float" in the black. I have all the rows done. Then I just have to sew those together. Then there's another black border. Then there's a multi-colored pieced border. Then the final black border. I think it ends up being a large queen size.
June 2012 - I had already finished the blocks - now I went to a friend's house and put the rows together.
January 2015 - I decided to go through some of my bins of projects and sort. I sorted by 1) fabrics picked out but not started; 2) blocks started; 3) blocks done; 4) quilt top construction started; 5) quilt top construction almost done. To my amazement - I forgot that my amish quilt was almost done. So I spent a day a put the body of the quilt top together. There's still 3 small borders to do - but that should go together pretty quickly.
February 2015 - quilt top done. Now to figure out how to quilt it. hmmmmmmm.......
