Description

This quilt top is all done.  Just waiting for time for me quilt it.  I loved the modern colors in these fabrics.  The pattern is called "Equal Rights" by the Swirly Girls.  It uses a 60 degree triangle ruler, which I had not used before.  It was a lot of fun!

Update April 2014:  I am a long-arm quilter. I quilted 76 quilts last year and only one of them was my own.  So I decided to put my own quilt in the line up.  I picked this one.  We needed a new spring time quilt for our bedroom.

I am putting this one in the local quilt show.    I know that sometimes show judges want the quilting pattern to "offset" the piecing.  So for this quilt, all pieced with triangles, I might have chosen a flower quilting pattern, to echo some of the flowers in the fabric.  But I decided to be a rogue with this quilt and I quilted it with interlocking triangles.  I like the effect, particularly in the borders.
