Description

I jotted down a few notes and a sketch when I received Belinda's starter block Sept. 14. I stayed fairly true to the initial idea, but like the version I ended with better. I was able to pull from my stash. It was a busy month filled with family issues, caregiving, vacationing and moving. It made me so happy to find a few uninterrupted hours to finally work on this sweet Wonky Churn Dash Block. Mailing to Quilterinmotion middle of next week as she is literally in motion. Hope she enjoys working on this as much as I did.

Mymble

Really fun- love all the gorgeous colors and the little touches of theme fabrics- just great!

HawkFan

Love how you brought out the subtle green in the original and your stitching on the original center is a great touch. You've added a lot for the next person to build on

Charwirfs

Thank you HawkFan and Mymble. I procrastinated big time on finishing it. I am finding that having to be responsible for some one else's block is scary, even though I have done these before...was scary then and is now too.

HawkFan

I procrastinated on my last round too and I can't say why. I had a plan in mind almost immediately and wound up pretty much sticking to it. Who knows. Maybe October gremlins

I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry to see the trout did not make it in, I think he's cute! However I totally love what you added!!! Thank you!! I agree it is scary to try to add to another's block and hope that they like the end result. For me it was a question of do I stick with the same theme "food" or do something different, do I do literal or more metaphorical ( is that a word?) I don't know, I'm rambling. Charwirfs , I love it, can not say that enough. Thank you!!!

Charwirfs

ArloDeanQuilts Thanks. It was fun and I had a great time creating....once I relaxed about it.

+Carwirfs - I also love that you posted a picture of your notes. It's fun to see the creative process in action and your thoughts jotted down
