Description

Baby quilt using les amis- one of my favorite collections.

The back is a quilter's flannel in bright turquoise.

I'm waiting on the binding which will be the white/woodgrain from the collection called Faux Bois.

The quilting is straight line and took forever but I like the result.

The design is just simple framed blocks with a panel of the woodland scenes or the owl portraits ( so cute!) inserted in each row in a different place- just to mix it up a bit.

The baby is due next week, so if the binding fabric arrives soon...I may just get it finished in time:)

Update: The baby was late...the binding was not, so it is bound and finished and ready to go off to the adorable new baby and not too terribly late at all:

Update: Lilianna sent the most wonderful card with gorgeous photos of Junia and her quilt. Apparently she is fascinated with all the designs:) and coos at them!...just had to share this adorable card!

Amanda

I love this fabric line and your quilt is just beautiful. The straight line quilting is amazing. I love the texture it adds.

Joke

This is beautiful! Your quilting choice is great! The lines kind of remind me of wood grains, which plays into the woodland theme of the fabric.

Terryt1955

Wow! I just want to reach out and touch it! Sp pretty!

Mymble

Laweigel Thanks Lori:)

Mymble

Skynme Thanks- yes, all those "just too cute" woodland creatures are irresistible:)

Mymble

Terryt1955 Thanks so much Terry...the fabric is super soft- already has a vintage feel to it and it hasn't been washed yet.

Caribousmom Thanks Wendy:)

Joke Thanks Jo - I was trying so hard not to buy any more fabric but after auditioning a few things, my daughter ( my creative consultant;))) and I agreed it had to be the wood grain and I am glad I got it- love that print so much I'm putting some half yard cuts of it on my Christmas wish list:)))

True

Ok that card and that baby are adorable!! Love it.

Mymble

Isn't she too much- she is the most alert and brightest baby I think I have ever seen!

Joke

What a sweet card and cute baby! She also looks so big already, and it seems just like yesterday you were making this quilt!!

Mymble

Joke Too true- she was a bit late and she weighed 9 lbs 3 oz....and even her birth pictures show the same alert, "I'm here to do something great" kind of look. Her mom is the tiniest little thing too!
