Description

The idea of a mini Swoon quilt has been nagging away for a few weeks now. I gave in, picked a palette from Design Seeds, changed it a bit, raided my stash. Then ran out of  energy.

The next night, after a nap, I cut, pieced and pressed and I have the first block. It finishes at just 6"! The half square triangle units finish at just 3/4" each.

Wow, 6"!! How fiddly were the small pieces?

True

Holy moly that had to be hard!

Menolly13 Aizome True Joke Thank you very much! All of the pieces were manageable - the key is making the half square triangle units a fair bit bigger and then trimming down to regain accurately. Needless to say on this size accuracy is pretty important, but I find pressing seams open really helps. Two more blocks cut and ready to piece! This will not be a quick project!
