I have been wanting to learn how to use my embroidery component on my machine correctly so I broke down and took a class on Saturday . . . wow, did I learn a lot! I usually an able to figure things out on my own but the learning curve for this machine is huge !
We used Anita Goodesign's "Traditions" for the embroidery design. I love French General so I used one of my charm packs I've been stashing. The class was for a placemat but I decided to add two blocks in order to make a table runner.
I used a white on cream for the base fabric and a grayish embroidery thread for the stippling. For the main embroidery designs I decided to pick up on the dark red and browns. I liked the simplicity of the designs yet the details that were produced are beautiful!
I'm going to be adding sashing and borders . . . right now I'm auditioning colors and trying to figure out my final placements of the blocks.
This machine is so much fun . . . I already have several new projects picked out.
