Mirror Case for my son 2013 by Speattle
My son has a small flat mirror that he uses when he fixes his car and has to see behind things. He keeps it wrapped in a scrap of cloth, but recently asked me to make him a case for it. He lives out of state and sent me a cardboard template.
I used some spare fabric and a piece of "soft and stable" batting and made a very simple foldover case. He asked for this for his birthday, so I added a "Happy Birthday":birthday: tag. It closes with velcro.
He just turned 32 and when he was little I made him most of his clothing. It was fun to be able to sew for him again!
Took me less than an hour to make this up.
It reached my son finally. Had been mis-delivered to another home in their neighborhood. He loves it and it fits the mirror perfectly.
