Description

This was an Amish-style Block of the Month quilt from Cabbage Rose Quilting Shop in Fort Worth, Texas.  They had two options - one, each block was two shades of a color with black background, the other was black and white prints.  I went for the colors and black traditional Amish style.  It was a GREAT project, getting to do all kinds of traditional blocks. I've kept the instructions.

Down side of a BotM project, you work on it spread out over so much time, that for me at least, my blocks got kinda inconsistent.

My son Jamie decided he wanted this quilt.  He's a very artistic boy and I think he loved all the variety of colors.

After I completed the top I did have it professionally quilted, again by Cowtown Quilting.  That guy's great.  We did a Roman squares type quilting, to keep it reasonably boy-appropriate.  And he used rainbow colored thread.

Jamie has this on his bed most of the time.

Pictures

Before I'd put all the borders on. His sister Alanna had to be in the picture.
You lay out some blocks, turn your back for a moment, and there, a cat's on it.
