Description

This is a healing quilt I made for a young theater friend of mine.  He had a rare form of cancer and underwent several months of chemo and then surgery.  No 6 months later he is cancer free and back to work.  I got all the fabrics and made the top in about 3 days.  Then I took the back blocks around and had lots of our theater friends sign them.  Another theater friend who is also a quilter and has a long arm quilted it for him.  It turned out so well and he loved it. it's actually one of my favorites that I've made so far.   I took this picture with my phone on a dreary day before I delivered it to him.  the picture doesn't do the colors justice.

Well done, and great news about your friend's remission. I'm sure your quilt brings him great joy and a sense of being loved.

What a nice thing to come here today and see all these kind comments. Thanks everyone. I have a dentist appt today so while I'm sitting in his chair feeling anxious I'll call to mind all these lovely words. My minor discomfort at the dentist is nothing compared to what Lucas went through.
