Description

I needed a last minute gift for work...and was NOT going out in crowds and we are getting a snow storm any minute so...I loved I have grown my quilting supplies/stash to the point when I want something it is all there. So found a pattern I had saved years ago when I was cleaning out my notebooks the other day and used it as my inspiration (included under tutorial).  Wanted it all done today in case we lose power so in between baking and laundry and last minute online shopping "Frosty" was born.  Will wash and dry it tomorrow and it will be ready to go to its new home!

Ashrivers Carolmarie Kat thank you...and Carol I just love knowing it is all right inside my house waiting for me to use it!

HawkFan

Wow - I love how you just whipped up something this nice!

Terryt1955

Thank you for the inspiration. I need to make up something for Thursday night and I initially was going to give my Christmas Pillow away during the White Elephant but had second thoughts. Why should I give away my pillow when everyone else is going to bring in old stuff from their garage?! But I could make up a little mug rug...Thanks for the tutorial!

HawkFan Ahh thank you!

Terryt1955 I had thought of a pillow for this gift but when you add in insert it costs more...technically this was free as it was all left from other projects! I did put triangle holders in top back corners if someone wants to hang it up. Go for it....make a tiny version of your tree!!

Terryt1955 And if you use tutorial...all I followed were templates...I did all appliqué as fusible versus what they suggest which is harder and more time consuming.

He is so cute. Wish I worked with you. hehehe I was thinking about you this morning, how much snow did you get? Maine was always one of my favorite places to visit in the winter, of course I was much, much, much younger. Now, the thought of snow makes me want to run of cover but hey, one good thing if your snowed in is that you have an excuse to stay home and sew. Stay safe and warm

Quilt455 thanks...we have somewhere around 10-12" is seems but it is so cold and windy! We do not have to get out so it is a good day for a storm. Just finished Christmas cards and now have to decorate house...then can sew;-)

Caribousmom

This is so cute, Mary! Lucky recipient :)

Terryt1955

Don't forget to take pictures for all of us transplanted New Englanders!

True

Caribousmom Thank you... Terryt1955 but it is cold out there?!

Terryt1955

That's why you have a son, LOL! Sounds like the snow is going to be on the ground for awhile so the pictures can wait. I hope Andrew has his flannel quilt out?

True

Terryt1955 He does but he is suppose to have his coat and boots on and shoveling...but since he has to do it if he wants to do it after dark fine with me;-)

Mymble

Frosty is terrific! Love the colors and everything!

True

Mymble Thank you! He certainly fit in around here today;-)

HawkFan

Now that it's washed and dried it has even more of a rustic look which is perfect for the design and fabrics. Just love it!

True

HawkFan I just love once they are washed and dried...it amazes me how it changes just enough and just right! Thanks
