Description

Decided to make bags for a couple of dear knitting friends- this is an easy pattern to follow and worked up quickly. Had I been more prepared I would have embroidered their name on the inner pocket before I constructed the bag. Both were made with batiks from my stash.

And little pockets on the sides to hold the patterns, or crochet hooks, or whatever! What a great idea.

These are great!

Sbbquilter , these are very well made and love your combination of colors. What is the pattern you used, if I may ask? Have lots of knitter friends so this is a great idea for gifts. Thanks and keep on stitching!

Thanks for the complements. It is the Tools to Go by Whistlestop Creek designs - easy to follow instructions and I was able to use stash fabrics as none required a large piece. I do use woven intron on interfacing rather than the craft interfacings and think the end result is much crisper. The outer pockets will easily hold a 50 gm ball of yarn to make knitting easy.

What gorgeous bags! Love the use of 3 different fabrics to give them added interest. And I imagine these would be handy for a quilter also with all those compartments!

...or baby change bags, or market totes....these have lots of potential uses. They look fantastic; really well made and beautiful fabrics.
