She looks so pleased with her new pillow! And you are the bomb whipping this up 3 days after Christmas! I should make several of these for my cabin since it's in Bear Valley. How fitting would that be!
Terryt1955 There are a gazillion other things I should be doing! I'm finding I like these quick projects though. Instant gratification, I guess!
This is adorable and love the model!!
Your daughter is super cute! Green is my favorite color and I also love bears(mostly polar/black bears), but she is definitely a kindred spirit....she isn't an October baby is she? I know she loves this pillow because 1. You did an amazing job on it, 2. I LOVE this pillow, and 3. Your daughter has amazing taste in colors and animals LOL.. Great job on a perfect little gift!
TiffanyRay , that green really gives life to the brown bear. Love the paper pieced bear and your quilting looks fabulous. Daughter is very lucky to have a super Mom.
What a cute bear and I love the quilting around him!
How sweet of you to do this for her so quickly, and right after Christmas too!
So cute! The green makes it feel especially woodsy.
Skynme - I have to agree, she is super cute! But I am a bit biased! She is not your typical girlie girl...even though she is beautiful and would make the best girlie girl! I gave up the fight with pinks & princesses long ago! She actually is a September baby...
Quilterinmotion - Thanks! I really liked the green too and was quite pleased when she asked for it. She actually has her own fabric 'stash' and wouldn't you know it's full of green fat quarters and cutesy animal prints!
HawkFan - She's been asking for weeks... and being a school librarian, I am lucky to have time off to do stuff like this! Unlike my husband, I did not have to go to work the day after Christmas!
TiffanyRay my daughter is a September baby also...although she is 15 and not much of a baby anymore. She is not a girly girl either...and I love that about her.
How funny - I have an 18 year old September daughter who is most definitely not a girly girl. She gave away all her Barbie stuff when she was 4 and that was the end of it. Hates pink too. I'm totally not girly either so like mother like daughter.
I, too, have a September daughter! She never was a "girlie girl" and as a grown up is a beautiful woman but still not the best-dressed, etc. just a beautiful woman inside and out with no desire for frills, etc. then or now. Sept. daughters rock!
