Description

Received a Bali Pop in Tiramisu and wanted to make a quilt for DS. Pattern is from Brenda Henning's Strip Therapy #9 - perfect project for my week long holiday at home with my sewing. Almost met my goal of finishing in 2013 - completed the the quilting and binding on 1/1/2014 after adding the border. Used Hobb's 80/20 batt and a beige grape print backing (don't like a batik backing as much as I love piecing with it).

This quilt is lovely. The circles turned out very nicely. What piecing technique does the pattern call for to make them?

Thanks. The instructions were to create circle templates, cut the circles larger, baste edge to pull over templet and then machine stitch. The pieced smaller circles were cut from behind the beige ones. I choose to use fusible, cutting out the center of the circle to just attach the edges and then press on. The stitching was a fancy stitch to we'll cover the edges without too much bulk. I was concerned about quilting through this but my machine performed well.

Love how this quilt turned out. The circles really add interest.
