Description

Pattern: Churn Dash Block

Tutorial:  http://sewmeblog.blogspot.com/2013/05/churn-dash-tutorial.html
Please use a different print for the 4.5" center square instead of doing it in the background fabric. See my samples or the inspiration quilt to see what I mean.
I would prefer to have the churn dash be all one fabric instead of using one fabric for the triangles and another for the rectangles as is sometimes seen with this block. So just to clarify, you'll be using 3 fabrics. One for the background, one for the churn dash, and one for the center 4.5" square.

Colors:  raspberry/maroon, pink, chocolate brown, golden yellow, tangerine orange
(see photos of my fabric pull for inspiration - the browns really are a rich chocolatey color but it doesn't photograph well)
For the background fabric, please use a low-volume fabric that reads as white or cream.
For the 4.5" center square, if you have a fun print to fussy cut, please feel free. :)

Inspiration:  I love this quilt but want to switch out the grey fabrics for chocolate brown.

Siggy Block: I would love one if you want to send one along! Here's a nice easy one: http://www.psiquilt.com/2010/01/siggy-block-tutorial.html

Please follow the tutorial for size, but DO NOT trim your block before sending it. If needed, I will trim the blocks to the same size after receiving them all.  I can't wait to see what each of you come up with!  Please let me know if you have any questions. Happy sewing!

Sewbusy64 Thanks! I've been thinking about doing a quilt with this block since I made yours for hive 5. Seeing the one on Pink Stitches blog in the colors I've been drooling over lately cinched it!

Aizome Thanks! I'm really happy with how these turned out. I'm waiting on a few more and then will start putting it together.
