Description

I finally bought the Everyday Skirt pattern by Liesl & Co. I have some beautiful soft yellow corduroy that I bought at one of my favorite local shops, Modern Domestic. I'm hoping to get it cut today and maybe stitched up tomorrow...  I need to get motivated to sew some clothes for myself! I always want to but get super intimidated. It's a lot of fabric to go through if I mess it up or if it is really unflattering. This skirt seems simple enough to be flattering on anyone - I think it will be perfect with a sweater and boots. Wish me luck!

I don't have good pictures yet, but I'm almost done - honestly the only reason I'm not is that I didn't have the right size elastic and haven't been to the store yet. I think I'm really going to love it - and it was really so easy to make! I can't wait to make more. And I'm picturing them in a whole rainbow of chambray to wear every day this summer (I'm a skirt girl more than a shorts girl).

Even more importantly though - I found my long lost Ginghers!!! I have searched for them everywhere and they finally turned up while I was digging for that elastic! They had mysteriously disappeared a couple of months ago - the must have slipped into the drawer and landed on the pile of tulle so I didn't hear them. Which makes me think I should probably clean out my drawers because why is there a pile of tulle in there?!?
