I'm also thinking about adding some borders but have not yet decided.
The seams aren't quite matching in the second pic - I ripped it out and redid it!!
What a lovely blend and distribution of hues. Very striking quilt!
Whata gorgeous quilt this will be the colors and fabrics are amazing! I hope your back improves...
I agree that you got the Caribbean colors down very well - beautiful. It's also nice to imagine being there right now with the winter we've had so far. Hopefully your back is on the mend - I know it's been troublesome for quite some time
These blues are so relaxing; the pattern looks incredibly complex. Is it or is it one of those I love that are simple to piece but look complex? Either way you are doing a fantastic job and I would love to look at this quilt any time, all the time!
Love this- reminds me of the tile floors in some of the buildings in Riyadh (we spent 5 years there) and the tile/glass designs were inspiring.
Thanks for the nice words, everyone! I have not been to Riyadh - I know the tilework must be amazing! Yes, would love to be in the Caribbean right now - I'm in South Dakota and earlier this week the temp. was -10,000,000F!!!
The pattern, in my opinion, was rather tricky...for some reason, all my flying geese stretched - quite often they don't - this time they did. There are tons of seams to match when piecing and it was tough. When I cut and stitch, I'm typically right on, but with the stretching thing, I had my 1/4" seam all over the place!
Very nice...I love Batiks & Blue is my favorite color.
