Description

I wanted to do a small colorful project to take my mind off things. This was my first attempt at the zipper pouch from the book sew gifts. There is a matching sketch book cover but I haven't done anything but cut out the pieces. I still have a really hard time with piecing small blocks, so my pencils are all wonkey. I also struggled with the zipper. My daughter liked it and she is an artist, so I just gave this one to her.

The irregular piecing actually makes the pouch have a more artistic feel. Art is often freeform and not about regularity. :) Good job!

I think the wonkiness is great and if you hadn't said it wasn't supposed to be wonky, I would have thought it was intentional. I love it!

I agree with the others. I didn't even notice the wonkiness to be out of place. I love it!

True

I also agree ...very cute...and in real life pencils are wonky when you try and sharpen them!

Conniharns

This is so cute and your pencils are perfect! I am sure your daughter loves it just because you made it. :)

Mymble

Love it- and dittos about the pencils- they wouldn't be the same size if someone was drawing with them so yours look just right!

Mymble Conniharns True cally68 HawkFan janepez thanks ladies, you really know how to boost someone's ego. My daughter did like it and so did her friend at school.

I like the wonky pencils. Uneven pencils are so much truer to life.
