Inspiration was to do something with this Northwest fabric featuring scenes from the States of Oregon and Washington and to come up with some lower priced items to feature in my community art gallery where I volunteer one day a week. People visiting our little town, Jacksonville, Oregon, want to purchase souvenir-type items that pack easily into their luggage and remind them of their visit to our National Historic Site gold-mining village. These are the first of the series. They are beverage coasters, but I could use a more clever name for them...any suggestions? I will give 10% of my proceeds from the gallery sales of these to one of my favorite charities. And some of you know how much I love hand quilting, batiks, and fussy cuts.
