Description

I made this as a birthday gift for my sister, to use in her new office. She has a cute daybed in there with a brick red cover on it, so the colors I used are not at all "aquatic!" I didn't have a long enough zipper so I just made the envelope closing for the back, which is nice and fast!

I'll link this to the PIllow Pop Sew Along group, even though it's not the pillow everyone else is doing this month Hopefully I'll get on board with the group in February!

True

Wow I love this one...your colors and fabrics are wonderful as is the quilting!

cally68

This is beautiful! I really like this pattern and am excited to do this one!

Terrysim

Thanks, True and cally68 ! It is an easy one and would go together even faster if you had one of those packs of mini charms. I happened to have a lot of gray scraps from another quilt I'm making so it used up very little of my stash.

Fantastic pillow! You always work with the nicest fabric. How did your sister like it?

Caribousmom

This is really great - love your choice of fabrics...and the back is beautiful as well!

Terrysim

Terryt1955 - That's so nice of you to say! I just mailed it today so I'll have to wait a few days to see what she says.

Terrysim

Caribousmom - Thanks so much. That means a lot coming from you - the Pillow Queen!! smile

Sewhappy

Fabulous pillow, love the colours and fabrics you used. Can't wait to make this one myself.

Skynme

This is one of my favorites from the pillow pop book. Love the beautiful fabrics you used...especially the little bird. ..she is going to love!!! Lucky lady!

HawkFan

Love your colors and fabrics!

Terrysim

Thanks, Sewhappy , Skynme and HawkFan ! This is fun and easy to put together and a great scrap buster. I chain-pieced the vertical rows to make the sewing go a little faster (flipped Column 2 blocks over onto Column 1, Column 4 onto Column 3, etc.).

Capetowngirl

Love this one and your red quilting is a great idea.

Terrysim

Thanks, Capetowngirl . I'm visiting family right now and got to see the pillow in my sister's office. Turns out the fabric I used for the back is almost a perfect match for the color she painted the walls, so she is very happy with it. smile
