Description

The second baby duck completed in time to give to my 9 month old granddaughter in honor of her first valentines day.  I decided to try pink on the wing for this one and I really like how it looks.  Used a different ribbon and attached the tag at the top instead of the bottom.

This is completely washable, and as Miss A.S. is a gold-medalist spitter, drooler and teether, wash-ability is  a very good thing!

Update a few days after Valentine's day.  Miss AS came over with her family and I gave her the duck which she immediately put to her mouth (a sure sign of acceptance).  Purely by coincidence her mom, Siffstitch, had dressed her in the same outfit from which the leftover fabric used for the duck is from!  I'd made this outfit probably in 1986 or so for Siffstitch, and now her baby is wearing it.

I like the pink wing. It provides a nice contrast.

Thank you. I did a dark yellow wing on the first one I made, just because that is what the pattern called for. I wish I had thought to do a pink wing on it too. The wing actually looks kind of heart shaped, so it was nice for Valentine's day.
