I like the way that the quilting and the puffy batting bring out the woven effect. Katie must look very different now!

Speattle

Yes, Katie is a beautiful 28 year old married grown woman now. She had her own baby.....PUPPY!

I made this before she was born, so kept it neutral with all the baby pastel colors. Back then (in 1984) it was not so common to learn the gender of the unborn babies. Had she been a boy (he came 2 years later and there is a photo of his quilt here somewhere), I still would have given this quilt even with the pink.

Tenar

I've got a fair amount of pink going in the quilt I'm currently making for a baby boy, and I've always done multicoloured baby quilts. They're much nicer, and I really don't believe in gendering babies by colour anyway.

What sort of puppy?

Speattle

Um, a canine type puppy? I honestly forget what it is. I'll have to call her mom and ask again.
