Description

23/01/15 Top complete - I actually finished it about 4 months ago but never took a photo (this one isn't great but at least I could post it). I kept thinking I would finish the whole quilt and then post but kept getting distracted by other projects. It is still on my to-do list to finish, so hopefully not long now. I have the backing fabric - just need time. The star in the middle was an extra from Jordan's Starflower block (April), which made a great focal point for the quilt top I thought. Also just noticed my son was holding it upside down - oh well. the pinwheels
It's March, it's Spring and I'm Queen, Yippee!!

For my block I have chosen a scrappy block I have had my eye on for some time - the Scrap Jar Star.  I am looking for a really happy scrappy block, so the scrappier the better.  A great excuse to have a real root through your stash!

Here is the link to the tutorial   http://alittlebitbiased.blogspot.co.uk/2012/01/scrap-jar-stars-tutoroial-giveaway.html

The block will be 12.5" unfinished.  Please do not trim your finished blocks.

Fabric
Colours:  I would really like bright clear colours, such as yellows, oranges, pinks, blues, lavender, red, light/bright greens.  Please don't use browns,  blacks and muted colours.  I have posted a couple examples I made on my page.
Background:  A true white such as Kona white or Moda White, and NOT Kona Snow or off whites.

If you'd like to send a siggy block, I would love it. The tutorial Menolly13  used previously would be great.

I am really excited to see what you all come up with. If you have questions, let me know.

Happy sewing

I love it! I live the idea of you putting the extra star from my month in the the middle. It draws it all together. I'm working on my quilt top today, hope to have a picture for you all soon :)

Was looking through the pictures and saw this and my first impression was - wow look at that - and then I realised it was yours. Beauuuutiful! Looks fantastic.
