Description

I joined the Fab Little Pincushion Swap on Flickr and made this pincushion for my partner.

I used this tutorial:

http://katiesquiltingcorner.com/2013/06/paper-pieced-pineapple-pincushion-tutorial.html

This was the first time I have truly paper pieced after trying the economy blocks.  I plan to make more of these.
It is small enough to not be overwhelming and allows use of fabric scraps.  I am posting pics of the pinnie I made her too.

I need to make myself a pincushion. Thanks for sharing the tutorial. I love yours so I'm going to make one for me

HawkFan Your very welcome! The pincushion I received had crushed walnut shells in it and that gave it a really nice weight. It prevents it from falling off the table or moving around. I am definitely going to purchase some.

super cute pincushions, great swap!

HawkFan

I just bought some crushed walnut shells yesterday in preparation for making a pincushion. I just hadn't decided on a pattern smile

I love it. GREAT

True

Love these both are wonderful. When using crushed walnut just remember to be careful if sewing for someone with a nut allergy.
