Description

I finally made some new pillows for my couch! I've been needing an update for a while, and I'm so happy with these. I used some yellow corduroy as my jumping off point and then pulled some favorite fabrics I've been wanting to use. I had picked up a bunch of fat quarters at my local shop, Modern Domestic, not too long ago and they have been sitting together just waiting to be made into something.

The patchwork pillow is improv quilt-as-you-go. I love that technique, especially for pillows. I had accidentally ordered some super bright orange linen a while back and it makes the perfect backing for QAYG projects like pillows and lined bags where I won't have to see it.

The yellow pillow has a hexy flower that I paper-pieced and then hand-appliqued to the front. I had actually made just the plain pillow first but it was missing something so I stuck the flower on the front and was really happy with it.

Readerowl Thank you! I'm trying to bring more color into my somewhat boring room.

Very cute! All the pillows I've been making are for someone else ... time to rethink this smile .

Ranchmom

Very nice, they will certainly add color to your living room.
