Description

I walked into a newly opened quilt store and saw a sample top hanging from the rafters.  I fell in love instantly and knew exactly who I would give the finished quilt.  My cousin had a little black doll when we were young and she loved that doll.  The pattern instantly reminded me of that doll and I knew she would love it.  She did.  I made someone happy and had fun making the quilt for her.
I mitered the border of the quilt, first time doing it and it took me forever, but I like the results. I tried machine applique, but prefer the raw edge hand applique for this particular project.  I am proud of this quilt!

I love your design! I also had an African American doll as a child. She was my favorite.
