Love your color choices, Terry! And just so you don't feel bad...I can't do those backs without re-reading my own tutorial :)
Caribousmom LOVE that you need to refer to your tutorial as well. Made me feel a whole lot better!
I was making those little strip sets and then turning them into "tubes" and ended up with a whole lot more. So I'm off to making a little split rail quilt. Why can't I get away from working with neutrals all the time?
I love your monochrome colour choice and also that your cross is in a different area of the pillow. Really beautiful!
A very striking and unique version - It's a winner!
I love your version of this pillow. The purple really does pop against the neutrals and that little floral center is great
What an awesome pillow just love the choices you made for fabrics and colors! Awesome.
True Thanks! I worked on it's sister quilt last night at Open Sew and made a lot of progress. I'm so pleased that it all came about as an after thought to the pillow!
Great fabric choices...tres classy!
Terryt1955 ... pass the wine and the seam ripper but not at the same time... :) s'il vous plait
Carolmarie Thanks carol! I'm hoping to finish the back (with zipper) this weekend so it qualifies for Wendy's blog posting.
I love this, what a great pillow! I love the purple fabrics with the neutrals.
Wow the back! Love it.
Fantastic finish, Terry! Love how you did did the back (and congrats on tackling another zipper!). I kind of like it on that lime green chair :)
Oh Wow I love the back!! What is that floral print you used? What a great pillow
HawkFan Thanks! The floral on the back is called "Geneva" by Hoffman International. I believe I got it at Intrepid Thread.
Caribousmom Thanks, could only do it with your tutorial! I really would love a photo prop like your white swing. Everything looks like the bomb on it.
Carolmarie Thanks! I was so happy I had enough of it.Don't you just hate running out of fabric?
I love your pillow, and the wonderful contrast between the neutrals and purple. Love the back fabrics - perfect choices.
The back is the same fabric as the single bright flowers on the front isn't it? That's definitely my style of fabric. I'll keep my eye out for it
HawkFan Yes it is the same.Originally I bought it to make a bag but I decided not to wait forever to make it and use it instead.
Your life aquatic pillow is awesome. love the low volume prints and the purple
Carolmarie I just saw an example on Instagram that showed two swatches of Kona Coal and they were vastly different! The point being, if it absolutely matters, it's best to make sure you have enough of a given fabric when you start because it can be like yarn or wallpaper where they always tell you to use the same dye lot. I had no idea!
