Description

This is my version of "Life Aquatic" from Pillow Pop.  I can't seem to come up with a catchy name, but since it has absolutely no connection to water whatsoever, I'll just call it Not Aquatic.

Fabrics are Low volume, many Japanese, Star pods from Les Amis by Patty Sloniger, Michael Miller fabrics and Kona - sorry I forget which red it is.

Back is all Star pods- will try to get a photo tomorrow.

Love the name and the pillow! Great neutrals!

Sewhappy

Really pretty. Love your fabric choices and the red border really picks up the prints in the pillow. Love it!

ArloDeanQuilts

Very pretty. Love the low volume!

Capetowngirl

Very pretty fabric and a lovely interpretation.

Joke

Well.. brown is the colour of mud and mud is made from dirt and WATER so there's a bit of aquatic in there wink2 I love how you added a brown border to brighten it all up!

Joke

By brown border, I obviously mean RED BORDER!! eyes

Skynme

I like the low volume and reds combination you chose. Great look for this pillow, it so interesting to see how the different colors really change these pillows. Great job!

Caribousmom

Love your version, Margaret! Those low volume prints are gorgeous!!

Mymble

Caribousmom Thanks Wendy...isn't low volume addicting...but couldn't get the look without some scrap bags and swaps- yay swaps!
HawkFan Audrey, thanks- well some of it came from you :)...and I have taken to buying scrap bags of low volume...no way I could amass a collection this size, at least not quickly;)) So...maybe another low volume swap next season ?...my pile is really low:)
Readerowl Thanks Karen...this sew along certainly is increasing my pillow count! Carolmarie Why thank you Carol...I am loving the contrast too...took a while t grow on me:)
Skynme Thanks Erica- it's amazing how using up what I have forces me into making choices I might not have made otherwise, and then it turns out better. And yes, I think this design especially can translate in so many ways and work...love seeing all the different ones!
Joke Yup...I figured;)))
Joke Hm...six degrees of separation I think eh???
Capetowngirl Many thanks Candice
ArloDeanQuilts Thanks Belinda...I love low volume too- guess that's obvious LOL
Sewhappy Many thanks...the Red was a gamble but it's what I had on hand and am trying so hard ( not easy;) to use what I have:)
Terryt1955 Thanks Terry!

Quilterinmotion
