Description

I wear boring basic business clothes so wanted to use beautiful batiks to make a bag I can carry when traveling as well as for knitting projects. Outstanding pattern with very clear directions. Pockets on both sides- one the width of the bag with a magnet closure and a double pocket, one with a zipper for security on the other. Top of bag closes with zipper as does the interior pocket which is large enough for my lap top. I chose to line that pocket with iron-on fleece to add protection. Also used a soft foam padding in the lining to add stability to the bag.

I love this pattern. I just recently bought it and haven't made the bag yet but I love all the features it offers! Your batiks are so rich and perfect for the professional woman. Nice bag; bet your co-workers will all want one! How long did it take to make the bag?

This was my second attempt. I did all the cutting and prep one evening so the next day the sewing was only about 3 hours.

I have really enjoyed using this. As can be expected folks see it and want to know what it would "cost" for me to make them one........more than they have any idea!
