Description

My first ever attempt at a quilt - not perfect, but I'm calling it a success!  It is for my nephew (also my first!), and he's due in 3 weeks.  Based on the adorable granny squares quilt made by Sew Crafty Jess (not a tutorial, just a really gorgeous quilt).

What an amazing first quilt! Congrats on it and the new nephew in the way. You may know this but the Blue Elephant tutorial has you make these into blocks first, before joining them, it tends to be a bit easier to get it all together that way.

True Thanks! I actually started with the Blue Elephant one in mind, but I liked the lack of sashing in this one. Little did I know it'd be that much harder! ^_^

This is a wonderful quilt and being your first....I am so impressed. Most people pick simple squares for thier first. Just beautiful
